Dragon made away with $486 million -Lai Muhammad

Another information is coming in that a dragon have made away with $486 million, a loan given to Nigeria by world bank
This was revealed to newsmen by Lai Muhammad minutes after the money was received from world bank, on landing the Nigerian soil, the money was made away by unknown dragon.
Briefing Newsmen after Plenary, Lai Muhammad said that since the money could not be accounted for, or on his bank account the money was transfer into, maybe this time Dragon have made away with the money.
He said;
“I think, this country is becoming a huge joke. First of all, it was the rodents that drove away the president and then we now have snakes consuming about N36 million and now we have monkeys raiding farmhouse. So, they don’t want this to be said but I believe that we should be very clear.”
This is coming after a shocking confession of an official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, which claimed that a mysterious snake allegedly swallowed N36 million naira, from the Board’s vault, which she made from the sale of scratch cards, another that of a monkey which swallowed 70 million naira.

It’s An Insult For Forbes To Say I’m Worth ‘Only’ $150m – Oyedepo



Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel and the richest pastors in the world, has described as an insult a report by Forbes magazine that he is worth $150M.
In the video which is making the rounds, He said; “Some fellow said I was worth $150 million, i said that’s an insult. $150 million? That’s an insult. I’m worth Philippians 4:19”
The bible verse quoted says; “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
Recall that earlier this year, Forbes released a report in which it ranked Bishop Oyedepo as the richest pastor in the entire world.
This put him above the likes of Joseph Prince, Chris Oyakhilome, T.D. Jakes and Kenneth Copeland.
In the Forbes report, Oyedepo was described as; Coming in as a supposed host of the Holy Ghost with the most, Bishop David Oyedepo heads the single largest church in the world, Winners’ Chapel, which seats 50,000.
As one of the main founders of the Nigerian Christian Charismatic movement, he also exerts control over churches in 45 African nations, as well as several in Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Monkey stole N70 million from senators’ farm house – Senator Shehu Sani


While Nigerians are still basking in the euphoria of a snake swallowing N36 million in Benue JAMB office, it has been alleged that monkeys have taken N70 million belonging to the Northern Senators Caucus.
The caucus had sacked Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as its chairman on Wednesday, following allegations of misappropriating N70m belonging to the group.
Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu who presided over Tuesday’s plenary, announced the leadership change
Briefing Newsmen after Plenary, Senator Shehu Sani said that since the money could not be accounted for, maybe this time monkeys have made away with the money.
“There are some things some of my colleagues will not say but I’m not used to holding back. When we assumed office, Senator Ahmed Lawan tendered the sum of N70 million to the 8t Senate. That N70 million was money gathered from the 7th Senate. It was handed over to northern senators of 8th Senate. The rumours going round, which I don’t know whether it’s true but I believe other senators know, is the fact that there were allegations that some monkeys raided the farm house of some of the executives of the northern senators forum and carted away some of this money.
“I think, this country is becoming a huge joke. First of all, it was the rodents that drove away the president and then we now have snakes consuming about N36 million and now we have monkeys raiding farmhouse. So, they don’t want this to be said but I believe that we should be very clear.”
Sen. Sani was in the news recently for storming the headquarters of the JAMB office with snake charmers to catch the money swallowing snake.

Buhari in a trance – Soyinka



Revered playwright, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is in a trance.
Soyinka, while reacting to a question on the three things he would tell the President if he meets him, stated, ” I will say Mr. President you are in a trance.”
He added that the sooner the President got out of the trance, the better for the nation.
Asked the form of trance the President was in, the Nobel laureate said, “I don’t know. So many unforced errors. Take for instance the suspended Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Usman Yusuf,  reinstated by the President.
“What is that about? What is going on?”
Soyinka had earlier held a press conference in Lagos on the state of the nation titled ‘Nomads and Nation

JAMB reacts to ‘money-swallowing snake’ report


The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has reacted to a bizarre report trending of a snake swallowing N36 million from the vault of one of its state branches.
The board said the case was that of pure criminality and fraud on the part of one of its staff.
Nigerians on social media have also been reacting to the disappearance of the cash in JAMB’s Makurdi office.
According to a report in Sun news online, a mystery snake was said to have sneaked into the accounts office of the Board in Makurdi and ‘stolen’ N36 million cash
Saturday Sun said a team of auditors was dispatched to different state offices of JAMB to take inventory of the sold and unsold scratch cards and recover whatever money that might have either been generated or mismanaged during the period of the sale.
JAMB candidates usually purchase scratch cards to gain access to the Board’s website for either registration or for checking their admission status. But new reforms introduced by JAMB registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, who assumed office in 2016, ended the use of scratch cards, replacing it with more efficient and effective platforms.
“A sales clerk, Philomina Chieshe, told JAMB registrar and his team that she could not account for N36 million she made in previous years before the abolition of scratch cards. In the course of interrogation, Philomena denied the allegations that she stole the money but confessed that her housemaid connived with another JAMB staff, Joan Asen, to “spiritually” (through a snake) steal the money from the vault in the account office”, the report said.
The spokesperson of the board, Fabian Benjamin, said there was indeed a case of fraud and criminality in the Benue State office.
According to him, the registrar demanded the sale of scratch cards should be stopped in order to curb corruption.
“It is natural for the office to account for what they have after the sale of scratch cards has been stopped and we discovered that lots of money was missing in Markurdi and other offices,” Mr. Benjamin said.
He said investigation was ongoing to determine the kind of punishment that will be given to the suspect(s) involved.
“There are procedures in the civil service so the whole thing is still under investigation. She was queried, she appeared before disciplinary committee, although she confessed that money was missing and a snake swallowed it. Unfortunately, she is calling one Joan’s name which did not appear in the investigation at all. Joan only recommended a house help for her,” he said.
“Of course, the management did not believe the story. She is just trying to put an excuse forward. These are things the registrar is trying to unravel to put the board on the right footing. We had a case where one of the staff said he had an accident on his way and the scratch cards got burnt but only for us to discover that they were used because they all had serial numbers,” he said.
Apparently reacting to the bizarre report, the anti graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on its official twitter page @officialEFCC jocularly said: ”an eagle(EFCC) shows no mercy for money-swallowing snake(s).”
A Twitter user ”Mr. aye Dee” said: ”I wonder if people realise the hungry snake that wanted to register for JAMB but ended up eating N36 million from the JAMB office in Makurdi did this prior to 2015.
“This naughty snake was discovered ONLY because Buhari’s admin decided to audit finances of JAMB offices nationwide.”

Herdsmen attack, sack Gov Ortom’s farmhouse. Police department responds to Gov Ortom's cry


MAKURDI—Suspected herdsmen, yesterday, attacked Waku village and a part of Gbajimba town, all in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State, killing two persons, and destroying Governor Samuel Ortom’s farm house in fresh attacks in the area.

The latest attack came less than 24 hours after Yogbo, another community in the same local government area, also came under heavy attack by suspected herdsmen which left six persons dead and several property and farmlands destroyed. However, the attack on Yogbo was repelled by the Police, who chased the invaders out of the community. Confirming the latest attack at the State Police Command Headquarters, the Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni and Chairman of Guma Local Government Area, Mr. Anthony Shawon, said the herdsmen, who were backed by militant gangs, stormed the communities in the afternoon, yesterday. “The herdsmen, backed by their militia, invaded Waku village this afternoon (yesterday) and killed two persons. They are also getting close to Gbajimba town, the local government headquarters and as I speak with you, they have attacked and sacked Governor Ortom’s farm house in Gbajimba. “Our fear is that if we are not careful, they might overrun the local government headquarters the way they are going.” Shawon, who commended the Police for saving Yogbo from being taken over by the marauding herdsmen, urged the command to continue to put up a brave fight and continue to sustain the resistance against the herdsmen’s incursion. Police have deployed more men — Owoseni Earlier, the Commissioner of Police reiterated the commitment of the command to ensure the restoration of peace in all the troubled communities in the state, with a view to having all the internally-displaced persons return to their ancestral homes. “Already, the Inspector-General of Police had approved and deployed 15 mobile units of the Force from other states to Benue State; this is aside the Special Forces that have also been deployed to the state. “We have also concluded arrangements to deploy more personnel to Guma to flush out the criminal elements operating there. “We have also deployed to these areas two Armoured Personnel Carriers which were released to us by the DIG out of the five we requested for. “Police visibility, intelligence capacity as well as deployment of technical assets have already been done in that area and in no distant time, these issues will be a thing of the past,” Owoseni assured. ‘Herdsmen enjoying support of highly placed Nigerians’ Meanwhile, piqued by statements credited to top government functionaries over the Benue killings, the state government has insisted that the rampaging killer herdsmen attacking various communities in the state are enjoying the backing and support of highly-placed Nigerians. Addressing reporters yesterday in Makurdi, over the call by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, for a repeal of Benue State’s anti-open grazing law which the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, had claimed was responsible for the killings, Benue State Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Lawrence Onoja, Jnr alleged that such remarks were clear indications that highly-placed Nigerians were fueling the killings. Onoja, who recounted the over 46 times Benue communities came under the attack of suspected herdsmen in the last five years before the commencement of enforcement of the grazing law on November 1, 2017, noted that the claim that the killings were triggered by the grazing law was untrue and baseless. He said:  “The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, accused Governor Samuel Ortom of causing the lingering clashes between farmers and herdsmen in Benue and Nasarawa states. He is reported to have spoken at a closed-door meeting with members of the joint Senate Committee on Police Affairs and National Security and Intelligence on killings in Benue and environs when he appeared before the committee in response to the Senate’s summons. “The IGP is said to have identified the implementation of the anti-open grazing law and the arming of Tiv militia as causes of the crisis. “Such statements coming from some of the nation’s top security chiefs may have confirmed the fears expressed by many people that the herdsmen unleashing murderous attacks on Benue may have the backing of some highly-placed individuals within the security apparatus of the state. “When those who are entrusted with the sensitive task of protecting lives and property of innocent Nigerians resort to placing unjustified blame on the good intentions of Benue State government to promote peace and security, then such people have unknowingly or knowingly become part of the problem we have on our hands today in the country.

Again, herdsmen attack Ogun communities, sack 30 schools

SUSPECTED Fulani herdsmen have again attacked some communities in Ketu Local Council Development Area in Ogun State three days after a stakeholders’ meeting was held with the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu.

News gathered is that the Police boss held a security meeting with the leaders of farmers and herdsmen in the troubled area two weeks ago over the incessant killings of Ketu people allegedly by herdsmen. Narrating the incident, in a statement, the Coordinator-General and Director of Public Affairs of Ketu Advancement Forum, Kunle Abiose and Williams Olayode respectively said the herders invaded “our farms, hewing down palm trees for their herds to graze on.” The statement reads: “Surprisingly when the local people went to inspect the damage done to their farms, the herders again opened fire on them with the locals sustaining gunshot wounds of varying degrees. “This incident was well documented at the Police Area Command Office, Ilaro. “Presently, the atmosphere is charged as areas like Ikotun, Ologiri, Akeru, Ilukan, Ijege and Ajibode have continued to come under the influx of herds. The state Governor can no longer continue to turn blind eyes and deaf ears to the tensed situation. “Our farmers have been sent away from their farms, over 30 primary schools have been shut down, health facilities closed and economic activities paralysed.” “The climax of it started on 10th December 2017 when innocent aged women were attacked and macheted in-between Moro and Eegelu villages for their refusal to submit themselves to be raped by heartless herdsmen”, the statement added. While urging the state government to come to their aid, they said “we want Mr. Governor to rise up and perform the primary objective of a responsible government first; which is giving us security.  We hope that the State Government will see our statement as a sincere wake-up call, and act in line with her constitutional duties to guarantee our security and well-being

Stephanie Otobo confesses she lied against Apostle Suleman


Stephanie Otobo, the Canadian-based singer has confessed she lied against Apostle Suleman Johnson of the Omega Fire Ministries.

She revealed this on Friday at Apostle Suleman’s church in Edo state.

According to Stephanie, she was paid heavily by some politicians to tarnish the image of the pastor in her desperation to become a popular singer.

In a video shared online, she appealed to the pastor and his wife, Lizzy, to forgive her, which they did. Mrs Suleman later prayed for her.

She said, “I came to Nigeria with a strong passion for my career and fell into the wrong hands of some powerful politicians and pastors who manipulated me in a wrong way to fault the man of God.

“They made me tell lies against him, because of my desperation for my career and I succumbed to it.

“At the time I didn’t know what was going on. I just wanted to help myself. They paid me a lot of money.

“I want to apologise to the body of Christ; Apostle Suleman and his wife. I was used and paid against Apostle Suleman.

 Ortom also stated that the statement credited to the Minister was tantamount to dancing on the blood and graves of the innocent pregnant women, children and the elderly killed in the new year attacks on the state by herdsmen that claimed over 73 lives. The Minister had in the said comment attributed the killings in Benue state to the open grazing prohibition law and the blockade of grazing routes. Governor Ortom who spoke yesterday when he played host to the leadership of the International Communion of all Charismatic and Evangelical Bishops and Apostles, ICCEBA, in Makurdi, lamented that the comment was a pointer to the fact that herdsmen and cattle were enjoying immunity in the country. The Governor said, “we have not committed any offence. The open grazing prohibition law protects both herdsmen and farmers and ensures that they live in peace. That is the only way to stop the killings. “All these running around and going back and forth will not save this country. Let us accept the facts, let us be truthful to ourselves and the people we serve. Let us leave selfishness outside governance. Let us ensure equity, fairness and Justice for all citizens. “That is what we call for. Let us stop manipulating our ways thinking that others will not see. We are all human beings who are created by God just like any other person who is in leadership position  today. “So, it is amazing that the Federal government is playing to the gallery instead of coming out to confront this monster that is before us, waiting to consume the entire country. It is unfortunate. “Today you talk about ranching in some states, grazing reserve in some other states and tomorrow you talk about colony. I don’t understand.  Globally, what is being practiced is ranching. So why are we running away from this, why are we running away. And why are we diverting attention. The other day, they said I own 6,000 militia. Let the federal government come and show me that militia. I was the first Governor in Nigeria, on assumption of office, that initiated the process of amnesty which I granted to several youths who turned in more than 700 rifles and several other weapons. I disarmed them because they were using it against the people and I felt that these were young men we could give a new orientation. That is what we did. “So it is laughable for anyone to say today that Ortom owns 6,000 militia. How about the herdsmen who are displaying these weapons and guns, sophisticated weapons openly, where are the security agencies, why are they not arresting them? Everyday you wake up with statements to divert attention. I heard and I saw  the Minister of Defence after their security meeting yesterday, while briefing the press, saying it was the law prohibiting open grazing that brought the killings in Benue state. I said to myself, it cannot be the Minister of Defense. “This is somebody who worked and retired from the army after attaining the rank of a General. This a Minister, who is educated and has traveled far and near round the globe. How can he say that? “Maybe he was misquoted or something because I cannot see the Minister of Defense saying that kind of thing. But if he actually said it, I would ask him, ‘Honourable Minister of Defense, if you said that kind of a thing, where were you as the Minister of this country, when herdsmen were carrying AK47 and weapons that are higher than AK47 and were going about killing my people and you want me to keep quiet. “And I begin to wonder, the other day the federal government came out with a pronouncement that it was ISIS a terrorist group in West Africa that was attacking Benue people and on the other hand I was told that the Minister said that we should accommodate foreigners. “What a country? Foreigners come in without valid papers and they come to take over your land and you surrender it to them? Minister I will not do that in Benue state, we will not surrender our land. “You can go and do it in your own state and not in Benue state. These people who are supposed to be assisting Mr. President are there for their selfish interest, misinforming him, misdirecting him instead of guiding him to do the right thing. “Killings are going on in the states and they are talking about law. Is there any grazing law in Adamawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Enugu, Kwara, Zamfara states and several others? Is there any law prohibiting open grazing in these places? “So if that Minister said that, I think that the people around President Buhari are the wrong set of people that should be there to help him run the country. “It is really unfortunate, it pains me, for people to come and start dancing on the blood of those they are supposed to protect. Innocent people, pregnant women that were slaughtered and a Minister will come out and say this kind of thing, it is unfortunate, really unfortunate. “If you say it is because of the law, is there any grazing law in those states where herdsmen and cattle have taken over even schools. It is provoking, it is like dancing on the graves of those people who were murdered and slaughtered in this state. It is unfortunate that you have these kind of people who are entrusted with the responsibility of providing security for our state. “I had thought that immunity in this country is enjoyed by the President, his Vice, the Governors and their Deputies. But if the Minister actually said what I read in the papers, it means they have provided immunity for herdsmen who kill and maim and rape our women. They have also provided immunity for cattle in Nigerian which is very wrong.

Reasons for New Year Day Benue massacre – Defence Minister

THE Minister of Defence, Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali, said yesterday that the recent massacre of innocent people by suspected Fulani herdsmen in parts of the country, especially Benue,was a result of the promulgation of anti-open grazing laws and blockade of grazing route

 He also said the Federal Government has directed security agencies to tackle the propagation of hate speech, especially through social media, adding that government has also agreed to pay $494 million for the purchase of Super Tucoma aircraft from the United States, with the deadline for payment set for February 20. Dan-Ali, who fielded questions from State House correspondents after the quarterly National Security Council meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said: “Yes, we did discuss solutions to the clashes. First, I talked about this commission on proliferation of arms into the country. You see, whatever crisis that happens at any time, there are remote and immediate causes. “Look at this issue (killings in Benue and Taraba). What is the remote causes of this farmers’ crisis? Since the nation’s Independence, we know there used to be a route which the cattle rearers take because they are all over the nation. You go to Bayelsa, Ogun, you will see them. If those routes are blocked, what do you expect will happen? Herdsmen are also Nigerians “These people are Nigerians. It is just like one going to block shoreline, does that make sense to you? These are the remote causes of the crisis. But the immediate cause is the grazing law. “These people are Nigerians and we must learn to live together with each other. Communities and other people must learn how to accept foreigners within their enclave. Finish!”

Senator Dino Melaye in a fresh multi-million dollar corruption scandal.

Melaye, who disclosed this at yesterday’s plenary, said NNPC is allegedly involved in “monumental corruption,” and that the national oil company registered a company by the name, Brass NLG, jointly owned by investors from Italy, Belgium, France, among others.

He said contrary to statutory provisions that the account of the company be domiciled in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NNPC and its partners, instead, opened an account with a commercial bank and that the said account has no Bank Verification Number (BVN)..

This morning (yesterday), I draw the attention of the Nigerian Senate to a suspected colossal, monumental corruption in NNPC.  It is a known fact that once you have a joint venture, the account of such joint venture should be domiciled with the CBN. But, in this case, that was not what happened… This account has no BVN and there have been periodic withdrawals. The last withdrawal from that account was to the tune of $4 million. As I speak, the balance of that account, as at today (yesterday) is $137 million,” said Melaye.. Senate may debate the motion today.
