Eagles will be ready for Croatia — Rohr

THE Super Eagles are expected to land in Russia today for the FIFA World Cup tournament, and coach Gernot Rohr, has assured that the team will be ready for Croatia, in their group D opener on June 16.
The Eagles had Nigerian football enthusiast worried after losing three matches in a row in warm up  friendlies against Serbia, England and Czech Republic. However, Rohr is optimistic the Super Eagles will raise their game and get a good result. “We will take it one match at a time. I love this group because we know how to rise to the occasion together.
Nigeria will be ready for Croatia,” Rohr said. Based on the world rankings, the Eagles are the least rated team in the group also featuring  Iceland and Argentina “We are okay with the garb of the underdog. But the defeats have done something for us – we have our heads firmly on our shoulders and we are focused. “Together, we have reviewed the matches and learnt so many lessons. We will approach the World Cup matches differently.” The Eagles were billed to leave for Russia this morning from their Aviva Resort camp, Bad Tatzmannsdorf in Austria to resume at their World Cup base camp in Essentuki, Russia.

Buhari plotting to hang a crime on me – Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is plotting to slam false charges on him, to pave the way for his indefinite detention.
‘Impeccable security sources have alleged Chief Obasanjo’s name is on their Watch List and that the security of his life cannot be guaranteed. According to these informants, many of who are in the top echelon of the Nation’s security management and close to the corridors of power, the operatives are daily perfecting how to curtail the personal liberties of the former President and hang a crime on him’. ‘Ordinarily, we would not have dignified these reports with a response but for the fact that many of these informants are not known for flippant and frivolous talks. Secondly, this Government has demonstrably exhibited apathy, and in some cases, encouraged by its conduct, daily loss of lives and property in many States of the country, the office cannot be indifferent. “We are currently in a nation where the Number Three citizen is currently being harangued and the Number Four citizen is facing similar threat within the same Government they serve. There is a groundswell of our nationals that live in fear that they could be hounded, harassed, maimed or even killed as the battle for 2019 takes this worrisome dimension.

Dragon made away with $486 million -Lai Muhammad

Another information is coming in that a dragon have made away with $486 million, a loan given to Nigeria by world bank
This was revealed to newsmen by Lai Muhammad minutes after the money was received from world bank, on landing the Nigerian soil, the money was made away by unknown dragon.
Briefing Newsmen after Plenary, Lai Muhammad said that since the money could not be accounted for, or on his bank account the money was transfer into, maybe this time Dragon have made away with the money.
He said;
“I think, this country is becoming a huge joke. First of all, it was the rodents that drove away the president and then we now have snakes consuming about N36 million and now we have monkeys raiding farmhouse. So, they don’t want this to be said but I believe that we should be very clear.”
This is coming after a shocking confession of an official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, which claimed that a mysterious snake allegedly swallowed N36 million naira, from the Board’s vault, which she made from the sale of scratch cards, another that of a monkey which swallowed 70 million naira.
